内阁认同餐饮业要求 暂缓调高外劳人头税

(吉隆坡1日讯) 在考虑了雇主，尤其是从事餐饮业业主的要求后，内阁在最近的会议上决定暂缓实行调高外劳人头税的决策。
人力资源部长拿督苏巴玛廉宣布，雇主们都投诉调高外劳人头税的决定将会加重他们的负担。苏巴玛廉披露，他在收集雇主及相关领域的业者回馈后于上周三的内阁会议中提出此事。
他说：“基于目前经济不明朗，内阁认为现在还不是调高外劳人头税的时候。”

Cabinet defers levy hike on foreign workers
KUALA LUMPUR, Fri:
The Cabinet has decided to temporarily defer the implementation of the foreign worker levy hike, Human Resource Minister Datuk Dr S. Subramaniam said today.
He said the Cabinet made the decision at its last weekly meeting after considering requests by the employers, especially restaurant owners who felt the hike would be and added burden.
